Dr. Jason Hadden

         

Hello Harrand Creek Community,

I would like to take a moment and tell you a little about myself and my educational background and goal as the Principal at Harrand Creek Elementary School.

My name is Jason Hadden and I am proud to be going into my fourth year here at Harrand Creek Elementary School as your Principal. I am from Enterprise, Alabama and I am a 1989 graduate of Enterprise High School! I have two sons, Justin and Hunter, two daughter-in-laws, Katherine Hadden and Haley Hadden, and one grandson, Jackson Hadden. I have multiple post-secondary degrees. I have
undergraduate degrees in Poultry Science from Auburn University, Special Education from the University of Georgia, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Troy University, and Educational Specialist Degree in Elementary and Secondary Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Elementary and Secondary
Educational Leadership from Auburn University.

My educational philosophy is grounded in our sincere desire to create a safe culture of intellectual curiosity within the intrepid journey of doing what is best for our students, teachers, and our Harrand Creek Community. With all the experiences that I have grown through in education, I have discovered that the best way to create student engagement and genuine ownership of learning is to create a safe
learning environment in the context of the physical, social, and emotional learning process for our learners. In order to obtain that environment our students have to be comfortable in the valuable learning process of failure. If we as teachers have created the right environment for our students, failure is embraced as the opportunity that will guide us through the rigor, relevancy, and relational dynamics
of becoming successful in our academic endeavors.

We look forward to partnering with our Harrand Creek Community as we strive to provide a safe, child-centered environment that fosters self-esteem, self-discipline, and establishes skills for maximum achievement as students and citizens.
